Perfectly Imperfect Pixie

Perfectly Imperfect Pixie is a M/M fantasy romance and will be available for purchase on November 18th. This is a very different book from the Reaping Covetous series. I needed something lighter hearted after finishing that series and Pixies seemed to be the cure.

I hope you fall in love with Phil (Philodendron) the same way I did. The beginning of Phil’s story came to me one day at work, when I was petting my dog, Fennik (FenFen). For those of you who either know me, or have read earlier posts, you know that Fen is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Typical cavies weigh between 15-18 lbs. FenFen comes in at 34. Yes, he could stand to loose a couple of pounds, but he is simply a larger guy. Even though Fen is big, he’s a cavie at heart. His personality is 100% cavalier, despite his size. And thus, the idea of Phil was born. For those interested, I will place the blurb at the end of the post.

On other personal notes, work as as a veterinarian is still busy. We added a third doctor this past June. For better or worse, that hasn’t lightened anyone’s load. Our third doctor is just as busy as anyone else and he’s handled it very well. Being a new grad is always difficult and he’s done very well.

The addition to the clinic is moving along at glacial speed. To anyone working construction or having anything built, that will come as absolutely no surprise. On the plus side, the addition is water tight and progressing. The largest current sticking point is getting an electrician. I might live in Indiana, but the hurricane in Florida has affected us as well. All available electricians are still in Florida helping. I’d love the addition to be finished, but if that is the main reason for the hold up, then I’m okay with it. They need the help more.

On a depressing weather note . . . we were having beautifully unseasonable warm weather for early November with highs in the sixties and seventies . . . and then the bottom dropped out. I kid you not, Thursday, the 10th, it was seventy degrees. Saturday, the 12th, we got over an inch of snow. WTF??? Insert big sigh . . . That’s the weather for you. For the foreseeable future it is cold, cold, cold. I should have put up my outdoor Christmas lights earlier this past week but I just couldn’t. A lot of other people were smarter than me and have theirs up. In a week or two, when I’m shivering and my fingers are numb, I’ll curse myself even more for my stubborn theory that Christmas decorations should go up after Thanksgiving and not a day before.

I should stop writing for now. I need to get back to going through the first editing for the next book, “No Good Deed”. It is the first in a series, the follow up is roughed in and will be called, “Goes Unpunished”. This is also a M/M romance but will be a mystery. Hopefully, “No Good Deed” will be out in late winter 2023 to early spring.
