Valentine FenFen

Good morning everyone. Today’s picture is courtesy of a valentine card exchange we are doing at work this year. Participation isn’t mandatory. I decided not to directly participate myself, but will handout valentines in Fen’s name and thus he will have a bag in return. And yes, in case you are wondering, that is FenFen fur mixed in with the tissue paper. He had a few mats to shave out that day so I decided to weave a bit of fur into his personalized bag. I can’t decide if it’s cute or disturbing. My coworkers believe it is adorable so I’m sticking with that.

This post is dedicated to Fen and his heart. Fen had a cardiology check-up this past week and we were given good news. Fen’s heart size and mitral regurgitation have actually lessened. This isn’t common and as I said before, is excellent news. Clinically, he’s doing very well on his medications and his recent echo indicates his heart has responded well. Fen will go back for a recheck in August and if his echo looks good then, his cardiologist might decrease some of his heart medications.

Fen is also still loving this cold weather. Most of the snow from the storm a couple of weeks ago is still with us. I believe we are supposed to get into the mid-thirties this week for highs (it’s a heat wave!). Sad that mid-thirties sounds good. Fen will stay outside for >15 minutes at a time. I think he’s nutty, but then again, I don’t have a fur coat like he does.

Not much to update on the writing front. “Warlock’s Menace” is still on track to be released mid-March. I’m currently working on the follow up. I don’t seem to have the same stamina for writing I once did so I don’t finish books as quickly, but I still enjoy writing and feel like I have stories to tell. As long as that remains, I’ll keep my fingers on the keyboard 🙂

Until next time, stay safe and warm. I’ll add a couple of photos of Fen at the end. One is a throwback to when he was a tiny puppy. The other is an interaction he had this past Halloween with one of our staff member’s young daughter dressed as an Ewok.
